Bill Johnson

About

Attorney and engineer Bill Johnson is Professor Emeritus at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) and holds graduate degrees in electrical engineering (Syracuse University, 1986) and law (University at Buffalo Law School, 2007), and is admitted to the New York State bar. 

Johnson joined the RIT faculty in 1989 and most recently served as program director for the College of Engineering Technology’s Telecommunications / Communication Systems MS program.  His focus is on wireless communication systems, electronics design, and technology law. 

Since 1997, Professor Johnson  has provided engineering support to his  municipal and citizen association clients throughout New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Oregon.  In 2009 Bill was admitted to the New York bar.  In addition to maintaining a general law practice, he now provides both focused engineering and legal services related to wireless zoning matters.

Bill is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the New York State Bar Association, and the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers.
